Spring Training Is Just Around The Corner

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Hi everyone! Spring training is just around the corner for the MLB 2005 Season. Some of our favorite Northern League players will be playing for the MLB again this year while others are there for the first time. Remember you can follow their progress through the gauntlet of the MLB minors A, AA, and AAA baseball via MLB.com. They're out there giving it 110% following their dreams of becoming MLB players and we hope they go all the way!

On February 1st, only a few weeks away the newest baseball movie, "Mr. 3000" starring Bernie Mac will be on DVD. This movie can definitely get you in the baseball season spirit. It has every aspect and element you can think of pertaining to the struggle of the game, the players and how baseball has an impact on the people who love it. You can rent it and have a wonderful time watching it, or you can purchase it and add it to your well-stocked baseball film collections. Whatever your decision, I recommend giving it a look. It is one of the best baseball movies in a long time and you may even recognize a friendly NL baseball player’s face, RHP Travis Kerber of the Gary SouthShore RailCats.

Now go outside and play ball! (On the other hand, you could watch movies about baseball until the snow melts and you can play outside in the grass again!)

Happy New Year 2005!

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Happy New Year 2005! Although this weekend should find us celebrating the blessings in store for us in 2005, many of us find ourselves stunned over the events of the past week with the worst oceanic tragedy in 40 years. I think every one of us has been touched in one way or another by the tsunami in SE Asia. It is a very sad, unfortunate tragedy to loose so many people to a natural disaster such as this. Our world has suffered an extreme loss, my heart, thoughts and prayers are with everyone now at this terrible time. Try to remain kind to one another because the life we live is precious, with it we affect the lives of those around us. Please remember to make a difference! No matter how small the kindness you bestow upon others, enough kindness makes it possible to move mountains of dreams. Ways you can help here!
